"I have been very active and athletic my whole life. I enjoyed skiing, rock climbing and cycling. I completed a century bike ride and 2 triathlons in the past. However, I experienced some injuries during the last few years and I allowed the frustration and pain to become excuses not to work out. My doctor told me that I might never be able to run again and whenever I tried, it was very painful and awkward. I gave up hope that I would ever be as active I was before and I gradually let myself become more and more unhealthy and sedentary. I gained 45 pounds. Nothing looked good on me and I hated going out with my friends because I was the biggest one. I would cry all the time because I hated how I looked and felt. I was afraid to do anything physically active because I was worried I would get injured or that I wouldn't be able to do it at all. Sometimes I would try to get back in shape. It took me over a year to lose 15 pounds but then I hit a wall - I would work out really hard but would give up after only a few weeks because I saw no improvement and I had a lot of pain.

"I trained with the Bulldog Sports & Fitness speed camps during my quest to be a pro and while I was in college at CAL, they definitely kicked my butt and got me ready for competition!"

"I've been working out with Lawrence for about a month now. I got to start off by saying that it has been a complete revamping experience as far as my theories about working out! I've played football all my life, and growing up I always wanted to be as big as I can get. So I focused my training towards bodybuilding. Through the past years, I've made gains on my own, but I also sacrificed a lot of other aspects. My speed, agility, flexibility, and endurance decreased significantly. I learned a lesson in my first session with Lawrence, lasting only 30 minutes of one of his DYNAMIC workouts.

"My name is Mary Dunn. I started training with Lawrence McNeil 3 months ago. I signed up for and completed 36 sessions, and can happily say that I have lost 18lbs and have gone down 2 dress sizes, from a 10 to a 6. I can see a huge difference in my size, muscle tone, and my overall strength and flexibility. Thanks to Lawrence's program, I am feeling happier, healthier, and have a lot more energy. I liked it so much I just signed up for 3 more months!
The first month was not easy. I felt as though I was struggling with the workouts. However, with Lawrence's encouragement, and positive outlook, I pushed through and worked hard because I wanted to make a change for myself. Lawrence adjusts each workout to meet my needs and goals, by focusing on my WEAKNESSES through his monthly assesments.

"Coach Lawrence has been working with our family for over a year, and everyone is extremely pleased. We first met Lawrence via a sport camp for our son Jack, who was 5 at the time. Since then he worked with Jack at multiple sports camps and in a variety of one-on-one sessions. Jack loves sports, and showed a huge passion for football. We wanted him to learn from a qualified coach not only the fundamentals of the game, but importantly how to be a good sport as well. Lawrence did this through non-contact football activities and games, and the results have exceeded our expectations. Jack loves sports even more now and understands the correct way to throw, catch and run with a ball. He has a good understanding of how the game of football played and understands what it means to be a good sport. Most of all we trust Lawrence with Jack and are happy that at a young age he has such a great mentor and coach. We can only hope that all of his future coaches are as talented and trustworthy.

"Although its only been a few weeks training with Lawrence my outlook on working out and healthy eating has changed in a positive way. Here are some of the qualities Lawrence shows as a trainer: punctual and ready to go!, makes best use of the time given, always keeps the workout interesting, changes the workout everyday - never the same, keeps communcation open through e-mail/phone, patient honest and funny, and personalizes the training according to the clients needs."

"I started working with Lawrence as my personal trainer in June 2006. In three months, I lost four dress sizes, gained a respectable amount muscle tone and seriously increased my cardio capacity. Before Lawrence, I would spend hours in the gym and do monotonous repetitive things that we all have learned over the years. Lawrence subscribes to a full-body/plyometic workout philosophy, this way you're making the most of your valuable time and getting maximum results in the process. Instead of doing one set of lunges on their own, you end up doing a lunge and jump up with weights held over your head."

"Before starting my program I was mostly afraid of the physical pain that I would go through. I was worried about being too sore or tired and self-conscious about my inability to do 'simple' exercises. Mostly I was concerned that I wouldn't see results after working out so hard and so often which I had not been accustomed to. At first, it took a while to get used to my work outs, but I knew I had to start somewhere. I was anxious while driving to our work out locations to the point where I would start to feel nauseous. The workouts were tough. It was painful, felt like a long time, and stressful on my body. I was so sore I felt like I should have been in a body cast!

"Hi my name is Genevieve and I play ultimate on a team called Fury.
Fury has been very competitive and successful team for the last decade winning 4 Nationals Championships and representing the USA in 2 World Championships. I joined Fury in 2006 and won two National titles with the team. Winning last year meant representing the USA in the 2008 Worlds Ultimate Championships. This summer's training means a lot to me because I want to be in the best shape I can be before Worlds in August.

"My son Trae is a high school football athlete playing for a great team in Santa Cruz (SC) California, the SC Cardinals. The SC Cardinals won the CCS Championship this last season, this was an awesome achievement, unfortunately Trae did not see a lot game time. I knew he had the potential, but he was lacking the right one-on-one coaching that he needed to take him to the next level of performance. Since starting with Coach Lawrence, Trae's endurance, focus, drive and confidence has improved to a level of starting offensive guard. He is leaner, meaner and ready to do what it takes to be the best for his team and himself.
Thanks Coach Lawrence."

"Wesley is an a very typical 15 year old boy, except that he has cerebal palsy. Wesley has been working out with Lawrence once a week for a couple of months now. Wesley walks with a walker and also uses a power chair for long distances. Lawrence works with Wesley on strength traing, core development and stretching. Lawrence never makes Wesley feel any different and always encourages him to do his best! Wesley has gotten stronger and more comfortable in his workouts. Not only is Lawrence a great personal trainer but also a very good influence on Wesley."
-Michele, Wesley's mom

"No matter where you are on the spectrum of fitness, Lawrence's Boot Camp will definitely bring your game up quickly. He creates an environment that you won't encounter with other trainers, and certainly wouldn't create for yourself.
One hour later, I knew the answer. It doesn't feel like a typical workout; more like an athletic training session. Muscles remember what it means to 'explode' instead of merely push; lungs remember just how far they can stretch when you breathe in; legs recall what it takes to be agile; and your body rediscovers the kind of running that it's actually capable of.

"Lawrence brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to his clients. He not only understands the physiology of training, but also how to apply it. Training with Lawrence not only gives me a physical advantage over the competition, it gives me a mental edge as well. I look forward to working with him as I pursue a pro career in the NFL.
Lawrence kicked my butt in a few speed training classes that he does over the summer. Speed parachutes, ladder drills, plyometrics, sprint evaluations and form, and more explosive training. I hated it, but I needed it! hahaha."

"Lawrence and I worked together at a training facility and always enjoyed working out together in between clients. When I started to focus more and take my golf game to the next level I knew my training would have to follow. In all honesty I was hesitant to approach him realizing that he was a "intense sports style" trainer and I wasn't sure it was the best fit for me. I decided to ask him anyway and I have never looked back. Lawrence was able to create a unique workout for me and my sport needs. He created a program of flexibility, stamina, and strength that has allowed me to keep my body in the kind of shape that I demand. Not only has he helped me to stay focused on my body, but has tremendously helped my golf game allowing me to hit the ball further, recover from long tournaments faster, and keep my muscles healthy. Lawrence has a way of motivating people like you wouldnt believe! Training with him has been nothing but positive and I plan on working with him throughout my LPGA Touring career."
